MINNEAPOLIS – Warmer air is on the way….promise but it might only be around for a brief stint. Thursday morning the arctic sunshine will still be present but by tomorrow afternoon a veil of high clouds will be your first indication of warmer air trying to make it’s way in.
Temperatures will ramp up Friday into the 30s as modified Pacific air moves in. This weekend the atmosphere will have enough instability for clouds and light snow showers and flurries off and on with no accumulations expected.
Enjoy the warmer weekend because most of the models are pulling in not one but two waves of arctic air next week.
The first will move in Monday and then be reinforced potentially on Wednesday. The models could be wrong…so stay tuned!
On a brighter note: the days are getting longer by nearly three minutes a day and this month we will gain 1 hour and 18 minutes of precious daylight!
